Saturday September 26

Well, it's Saturday, a football weekend, and the weather has turned to rain again. For those of you who will be watching your favorite team from your comfortable home or a fun sports bar, think of me sitting in the rain in the stands of App State, watching the Mountaineers win their first game of the season and their first conference game. Oh, and go 'Noles!!!

The stairs between D and E are being delayed because of weather. But, they are almost done, so that's good. And, boy, are they beautiful!

Jim Frye's guys will start fixing the middle level soffits in the D building next week. They will be putting the soffits at a steeper angle so rain water will be sure to run away from the buildings. Next will be the F building. So far no other building is having these troubles, but we'll keep an eye on them.

DON'T FORGET ABOUT OZ WEEKEND, NEXT WEEKEND!!!!! IT'S A FUN TIME FOR ALL.

See you in the mountains!
Renee

  1. Today Don watched a skunk walk under the walkway into G building over to H building. We see deer every few days and have seen groundhogs. Someone said that a fox and a bear were seen near the dumpsters beside F building. Do they come around often? We love it at HBV!!

  2. We had a bear there about two months ago. The story was in the newsletter that you received in your welcome packet. It was pretty amusing. There are fox around, so it isn't surprising that you see those. But the deer are always around! They love the beautiful flowers that bloom in the summer. It's a deer buffet!!! And, watchout for the ground hogs. They like to say hi every so often.
