Hi HBVers,
It's a cool, overcast day here in the mountains. Ray, the weatherman, says it's supposed to be sunny tomorrow, Thursday, but then start raining again Friday. The leaves are starting to change so Fall is definitely here. Hopefully the high winds won't blow all the leaves off the trees!!
The stairs between D and E leading to Village Road are done. Boy, are they nice!!
Next on the agenda is fixing the soffits on the D and F middle floors, beautify the A shed area, continue working on sliding glass doors and fix the stairs at the F building.
The new shingles were put on the side of the G and H buildings, plus the bowed wall is now fixed at the H building.
So much to do . . .
Here's hoping you have a wonderful day and we'll see you in the mountains!

Saturday September 26
Well, it's Saturday, a football weekend, and the weather has turned to rain again. For those of you who will be watching your favorite team from your comfortable home or a fun sports bar, think of me sitting in the rain in the stands of App State, watching the Mountaineers win their first game of the season and their first conference game. Oh, and go 'Noles!!!
The stairs between D and E are being delayed because of weather. But, they are almost done, so that's good. And, boy, are they beautiful!
Jim Frye's guys will start fixing the middle level soffits in the D building next week. They will be putting the soffits at a steeper angle so rain water will be sure to run away from the buildings. Next will be the F building. So far no other building is having these troubles, but we'll keep an eye on them.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT OZ WEEKEND, NEXT WEEKEND!!!!! IT'S A FUN TIME FOR ALL.
See you in the mountains!
Renee

HBV: SUN!!!!!!!
It is be-u-ti-ful on Beech this morning. 60 degrees and THE SUN IS SHINING!!! It takes all those rainy days to make you appreciate the pretty days.
Now that it's cleared up, hopefully Jim Frye's guys can finish the stairs going to Village Road from the D and E buildings. Next job for them . . . the shed area behind the A and B buildings.
If you're around and you see Dana Drangied working on HBV property, be sure to say hi. He owns K144 and is helping us out. He's a great guy and we are lucky to have him.
Larry is still plugging along with his maintenance list. He's working on the sliding glass doors. It's a big job, but he's getting through it. And on top of all that, he has to catch and relocate a pregnant raccoon who has decided to make her home inside the shingles at one of the buildings. Nothing worse than an angry mama-to-be! Then we have to replace those shingles with the new hardiboard shingles.
We always have something to work on here at HBV.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Come to the mountains!

HBV Update
Hello HBVers,
Well, it's been raining for the last two weeks or so in the mountains! But, as I like to say, a rainy day in the mountains is better than a nice day anywhere else!!
The new clubhouse stairs, coming from Village Road, are finished. Boy are they nice! Also, the stairs between D and E leading down to Village Road are almost finished. No more worrying about falling on those stairs.
We've finished separating the water cut-off valves for the D and E buildings. Now, if we have a water problem in one building, both won't need to be turned off.
We're fixing up the area behind the A building where the sheds are. Thanks to a drawing by Fatima Hicks, we're making the open shed look like a barn (with doors) and with faux windows. It's going to be so nice. We'll be adding shrubbery and a picnic table. A real asset to HBV and especially the A, B and C buildings.
All the gutters have been cleaned out. We'll do a "recleaning" after all the leaves fall, but we needed to get it done now as some buildings were completed clogged and new extensions are being added to the bottom of the gutters to run the water away from the buildings.
The new side shingles on the G and H buildings sure look great!! Hopefully we'll be able to do all the shingles in the near future.
Don't forget OZ Weekend on October 3 and 4th!!!! It's gonna be a fun time.
See you in the mountains,
Renee

Welcome to the Holiday Beech Villas Blog!
At the request of our newest homeowner, Nancy and Don Westmoreland, of G330, a blog has been started for Holiday Beech Villas.
I'll be keeping everyone updated on what's been going on around HBV and hope that you will use this blog.
You may use this to communicate with other homeowners. If you would like to post items for sale, that's ok, too.
I look forward to hearing from you on our new blog.
